About Adrienne
" Life is always changing. Time passes. Thoughts and emotions come and go. Tragedy strikes
and then grace and joy peek around the corner. Relationships flourish and wither. Passion waxes
and wanes. Hope flags and then returns at our darkest moments. Whatever is happening now will
be replaced." - Mary Pipher
My Approach
I am a warm, accepting, supportive and nonjudgmental therapist who during our time together
will ask questions and share my ideas, thoughts and reactions, in a way that is respectful and
helpful to you. I have been trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches for individual
psychotherapy, couple and family therapy. I will select an approach that I think is best suited for
your particular problem and comfort level.
I encourage you to understand and accept your past with all its complexities. We will go to your
most desolate, fearful, and hopeless experiences but also to your places of hope and joy. I urge
my clients to move on to create something beautiful for themselves and those they care about. I
do not take my role as a therapist lightly but see it as a privilege to witness the courage that
people have when they look honestly and gently at themselves. It is exciting to observe the
meaningful differences that can occur when someone decides it is time to make a change. Thank
you for your trust.
